flake, but can be physically change to liquid if heated above 41 degrees C and mainly used
in production of bisphenol A (BPA) in polycarbonate and epoxy resin production.
Acetone :
Acetone is a volatile and flammable liquid used for solvent purposes or as a chemical
intermediate mainly in production of bisphenol A ( BPA) in polycarbonate and epoxy resin production
Epichlorohydrin :
Epichlorohydrin is a colorless and highly reactive compound and will polymerize upon treatment
with acid or strong base and mostly used in production of epoxy resins.
Styrene Monomer (SM) :
Styrene Monomer is a colorless liquid chemical intermediate which polymerizes easily with heat and
Light and mainly used in production of Polystyrene and ABS/SAN resins
Acrylonitrile (ACN) :
Acrylonitrile (ACN) is highly flammable and toxic liquid which is strictly used as
an intermediate mainly in production of Acrylic textile fibers and ABS/SAN resins.

LPG :
LPG is manufactured during the refining of crude oil, or extracted from oil or gas streams as
they emerge from the ground.
Liquefied petroleum gas (also called LPG, LP Gas, or autogas) is a mixture of hydrocarbon gases used
as a fuel in heating appliances and vehicles, and increasingly replacing chlorofluorocarbons as an aerosol
propellant and a refrigerant to reduce damage to the ozone layer.
Varieties of LPG bought and sold include mixes that are primarily propane, mixes that are primarily
butane, and the more common, mixes including both propane (60%) and butane (40%), depending on the
season—in winter more propane, in summer more butane.
PCCI imports LPG from following refineries with following percentages:
Turkmenistan Refineries: Mixes including both propane (40%) and butane (60%),
also Mixes including
both propane (20%) and butane (80%).
Kazakhstan & Uzbekistan Refineries: Mixes including both propane (50%) and butane (50%).
Fertilizers :
Fertilizers are compounds given to plants to promote growth; they are usually applied either through the soil,
for uptake by plant roots, or by foliar feeding, for uptake through leaves. Fertilizers can be organic
(composed of organic matter), or inorganic (made of simple, inorganic chemicals or minerals)
They typically provide, in varying proportions, the three major plant nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus,
potassium: N-P-K), the secondary plant nutrients (calcium, sulfur, magnesium) and sometimes trace elements
(or micronutrients) with a role in plant or animal nutrition: boron, chlorine, manganese, iron, zinc,
copper, molybdenum and (in some countries) selenium.
The major fertilizer, PCCI Company import is urea originated from CIS countries. Urea is made by reacting
carbon dioxide (CO2) with anhydrous ammonia (NH3) under 3,000 psi pressures and at
350° F. CO2 + 2NH3 ¬> CO(NH2)2 + H2O
Urea is the major fertilizer traded in international commerce. In the very near future urea is expected
to account for more than 50% of the nitrogen fertilizer in world trade. When compared to other dry fertilizers,
urea has captured more than 65% of the world trade.
Urea has a number of advantages over other nitrogen fertilizers. Urea is safer to ship and handle, it is less
corrosive to equipment, it has a higher analysis than any other dry nitrogen fertilizer and it can be used on
virtually all crops. Urea can be stored and distributed through conventional systems. It can be applied in many
different ways from sophisticated aerial application equipment to a farm spreading urea by hand. Urea is also
highly water soluble so it moves readily into the soil. The high analysis means a reduced transportation and
application cost per pound of nitrogen.
PRILLED UREA SPECIFICATION:

Oil Products & Polymers Dept. |
| Introduction :
Oil Products & Polymers Department is one of the commercial sections of PCCI which is in charge of purchase and sale of oil products such as Gas Oil, Naphtha, Gasoline, MTBE, Base Oil, Fuel Oil and Kerosene and also Polymers like Polypropylene, Polyethylene, PVC and etc.
For the time being, our main activities in this department are as follows:
• Purchase of Naphtha as feedstock requirement of Iranian Petrochemical Complexes.
• Supplying MTBE for Iran refineries further to their request.
• Purchase and sale of PP and other polymers required by the private sectors and our international customers.
• Supplying Gas Oil & Gasoline for our customers from Central Asian countries.
• Supplying and importing different oil products and polymers required by all international customers from different sources.
|
Products : |
Different oil products such as Gas Oil, Gasoline, Naphtha, MTBE, Kerosene, Base Oil, Fuel Oil and etc. and
also polymers like Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Polystyrene, EPS, PVC and etc. are dealt
in our department. Hereunder, you can find more information about our main products:
Polypropylene :
polymerized propylene, a very light, highly resistant, thermoplastic resin used to make coatings,
plastic pipe, packaging material, fibers for clothing fabrics, etc.
Polyethylene :
This product is made by the polymerization of ethylene: used in making translucent, lightweight,
and tough plastics, films, containers, insulation, etc.
Naphtha :
Naphtha is a feedstock destined either for the petrochemical industry (e.g. ethylene manufacture
or aromatics production) or for gasoline production. It is also used in the petrochemical industry
for producing olefins in steam crackers and in the chemical industry for solvent (cleaning) applications.
Gas Oil :
Diesel or diesel fuel in general is any fuel used in diesel engines. The most common is a
specific fractional distillate of crude oil.
Gasoline :
A volatile mixture of flammable liquid hydrocarbons derived chiefly from crude petroleum and
used principally as a fuel for internal-combustion engines.
MTBE :
Methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) is a fuel oxygenate that is used in gasoline to reduce the
atmospheric pollution associated with automobile emissions.
Kerosene :
Kerosene is a flammable hydrocarbon liquid. This product is widely used to power jet-engined
aircraft, but is also commonly used as a heating fuel.
Base Oil :
An oil to which other oils or substances are added to produce a lubricant.
Fuel Oil :
Fuel oil is a fraction obtained from petroleum distillation, either as a distillate or a residue.
Fuel oil is any liquid petroleum product that is burned in a furnace or boiler for the generation
of heat or used in an engine for the generation of power.
